LABboards™ Disposable Skin Processing Cutting Boards were developed after extensive on-site laboratory observations and professional feedback. 

Prior to LABboards, skin processing laboratories used reusable kitchen cutting boards.  The reusuable cutting boards had to be cleaned and re-sterilized after each skin processing session.  Through time these reusuable cutting boards would develop deep scalpel cuts that could harbor pathogens that re-sterilization may not eliminate.  This created a risk for cross-contamination the next time they were used.  These pre-existing cut-grooves could also cause a scalpel blade to track 'off-course' putting the technician at risk for injury.

Our 7” x 18” LABboards Disposable Skin Processing Cutting Boards are designed specifically for processing dermatome recovered skin.  LABboards™ are made from a light weight plastic corrugated substrate laminated with a durable PETG film cutting surface which also provides excellent tissue-to-surface stability.  The Boards are printed with useful metric perimeter measurements and a centimeter grid field. Unlike reusuable cutting boards, single-use LABboards provide a pristine cutting surface for each skin processing session eliminating the risk of contamination and injury.

The bottoms of LABboards skin processing boards are coated with a slide-resistant film to keep the boards in place during exacting scalpel use.  LABboards™ validate for most sterilization methods, such as gamma and ethylene oxide.  They cannot be sterilized using steam or any heat generating sterilization process.
